How I Increased my Amazon Affiliate Earnings

As of this morning, I've made more from amazon affiliate sales then any other single day since I started writing online three years ago.

I'm starting to make a substantial increase from earlier this year, sales are up and times are good.

Lately for me the problem has been motivation, and when I lack creative motivation, I'm not the best writer I can be--and the work that comes out is garbage.

I don't want to contribute to all the junk information already floating around out there.

Writing for Hubpages, Infobarrel, and my own website is a lot of work, because once you start seeing results, you're going to keep pushing for more, and I have been consumed by it.

I'm not ashamed to declare that I want to make money writing online for the rest of my life, cause it's fantastic to wake up and work at your own pace.

There's no way I can go back working for the system, not having total control and security over my own financial future. Becoming a more seasoned online writer is taking me there.

Day by day I got better at utilizing proper keywords, a little better at SEO, learning about back-links, gaining more back-links, and determining what are quality back-links.

Make no mistake, there are many aspects of making passive income online through writing, and it takes time to learn all the angles, which are forever in a state of flux.
I'm currently earning from Google Adsense, Chitika, Amazon Affiliate, website on Weebly, Infobarrel, Hubpages, Bubblews, and looking at starting up on another writing platform soon, it's definitely addicting to be earning money 24 hours a day. 

I won't quit until I am completely sure of my financial future. I will update on a by week basis to inform everyone of my progress. 

Now that my Amazon earnings have increased, it has motivated for me to work even harder to earn even more. Also, I will critique each writing platform and revenue share sites from my own experience with them.

So, while I was supporting myself selling insurance (which I disliked) and paying the bare minimum of my student loans, I was learning slowly about how to juggle my expenses.

Today, times are better for me, but I know from experience that I will have to be vigilant not to slip back into the same financial pitfalls.

Although I never gotten back on the path to be a lawyer, I still had to apply what I learned while I was in grad school.

Trying in these harsh times to manage my college loans and hopefully afford a mortgage to the home of my dreams.

Currently, online revenue makes up nearly half of my total monthly income.

It definitely didn't happen over-night.

It took countless, frustrating days and nights to wrap my head around how everything worked. 

Even after three years of writing online, some aspects of earning a living online still elude me.

But I've found a good balance of where and what I write about that works for me, and maybe it can work for you as well.

Knowing that I could keep an income indefinitely from my laptop has granted me much freedom in my personal life. I have to confess, I don't think I could ever go back to the 9-5 grind, I just couldn't do it.

When I first started, I was lucky, there were many helpful people online that guided me slowly and steadily towards a path of success.

The first and most important piece of advice I have when writing online for a living is don't ever give up. The first 8 months I was totally lost and fell into every internet pitfall there was.. but I refused to give up.

What motivated me was looking at my student loans on paper, and how I was barely covering the minimum every month and how it was sucking up so much of my paycheck.

Every time I was at the point of giving up, the hatred of that student loan pushed me to keep going. It felt like a chain around my neck I had to lug around, and to me, being in that kind of debt was a form of bondage, or even slavery one might say.

Two years from when I started, I had enough to make more sizable payments and effectively paid off my student loans and my credit cards within the following six months.

The weight lifted off my shoulders is a feeling I can't fully explain, the feeling of not be chained to a debt is an amazing feeling I hope everyone reading will enjoy soon in their lives.

However, one must keep in mind that this is not a "get-rich-quick- scheme, it takes work and commitment and most importantly, a relentless perseverance. Here are a few misconceptions and fallacies that surrounds writing online:

Nothing could be further from the truth, as you can tell, I'm not exactly the best writer, but I make up for it with a passion for subjects I write about.

This is generally the deciding factor in a successful writer and one that isn't, it's passion.

If you have no passion for what you're attempting to write on, I doubt any real success can come from your efforts. Write about topics you personally are familiar with, something important to you.

Even now, as I still earn from articles that I've written years ago, there's always maintenance work to be done. A good online writer knows that you have to continuously update your content and add more relevant content to remain high in quality content and in search engines.
